KNOCKHOLT village is planning a fireworks spectacular on November 5.
Gates will open on the corner of Blueberry Lane and Main Road in Knockholt, just off the A21 at Pratts Bottom, at 6pm.
Walking groups from village pubs and schools will then descend on the massive traditional bonfire with flaming torches at 6.45pm. They will then set alight to a chain of rings which will spread to a large Olympic-like ticket on the top of the bonfire.
This is all part of the "Going for Gold" theme for Knockholt Carnival, leading up to the carnival on the village field on the July 7, 2012.
Tickets for the firework event are available now from the village shops and pubs and at the door.
Paul Cooling, owner of Coolings Nursery, said: "This will, be a fantastic Autumn celebration and promises to be spectacular with much more money spent on fireworks this year than ever before.
"Free parking is available at Coolings' Green and Pleasant, Main Road Knockholt, which makes the event accessible to all the family – arrive early."
This year's carnival logo was designed by Scarlett Goffin of St Katharine's Primary School.
